AWB Vertrieb & Engineering GmbH is a sales and planning company for Schelling panel sizing saws and at the same time a commercial enterprise for all application technologies in the woodworking industry.<\/p>\n

The initial situation<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The existing production line for plywood panels at the St. Petersburg plant was to be modernised and, among other things, equipped with a new panel sizing saw. The new saw delivers a higher number of panels in different formats. This increased throughput requires a new connection between the saw or the subsequent coating press and the existing sorting plant to ensure a smooth production flow.
\nThe system must implement the following work steps: Picking up and conveying panels, buffering panels and feeding the existing sorting plant in 3 ways.<\/p>\n

Why Gruse?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Due to the long-standing good contacts with Gruse Managing Director Ludger Helmig, the companies AWB, Schelling and Sveza decided to undertake the planning and implementation with Gruse. Ludger Helmig knew the existing production line, as he had supplied the sorting plant 10 years ago and provided intensive support for the project. In spring 2018, the order was placed and six months later Gruse delivered the system to St. Petersburg. The commissioning of the entire production line will take place in autumn this year.<\/p>\n

Gantry feed<\/strong><\/h4>\n

For holding the sawn panels in 2-axis design with vacuum suction beam.
\nTravel 5500 mm, stroke movement max. 1000 mm.
\nVacuum generation via vacuum blower, output approx. 6 cycles\/min.
\nAfter sawing, the panels are removed from the roller conveyor provided on site downstream of the panel sizing saw.
\nAccessories: Protective grid system with mechanically lockable doors in the area of the gantry system.<\/p>\n

Belt conveyor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Belt transport 6-strand, belt pitch symmetrical, drive gear motor 0.55 kW conveyor length 3000 x 2070 mm (length x width), system width approx. 3200 mm<\/p>\n

Stacking area<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hydraulic scissor lift tables with mounted roller conveyors are used for buffering panels.
\nPayload 3000 daN, length 2900 mm, support roller diameter 108 x 3.2 mm, sheath length 1250 mm, roller pitch 200 mm, with double chain wheel and gear motor for drive.<\/p>\n

Roller conveyor driven<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Length 3400 mm, support roller diameter 108 x 3.2 mm, jacket length 1400 mm, roller pitch approx. 200 mm, with double chain wheel, drive: Gear motor.
\nAccessories: Forklift recess for one-sided loading via forklift.<\/p>\n
